IndyCar World Championship at Las Vegas, Who ya got?
So another season comes to an end, hopefully on an optimistic note. Will Power trails Dario Franchitti by 18 points coming in, and Dan Wheldon looks to secure himself and a fan $2.5M each by winning from 34th starting spot.
A bigtime surprise came through last time out, as Ed Carpenter finally found victory, winning by less than a hundredth of a second. A David beats Goliath type story.
With so many cars entered, a record 34 for the finale of the Dallara IR3 chassis, it's not out of the question that a surprise winner could be in the cards.
However, I will pick Will Power to win the 300 mile event. He was strong at Kentucky until the hole in his sidepod slowed him more than a mile per hour per lap. And with a little luck in Dario Franchitti finishing outside the top 3, Power would be crowned champion of IndyCar.
So, who ya got, for one last time in Sin City?
