Canals are man made so no fish is native to them. This canal was dedicated only about a year ago, so that is not long enough to create any stable population. You can expect to find catfish, smelt, and stripers in the canal.
Catfish find a rock to dig under and lay their eggs and protect them under the rock when they hatch. Strtipers are stocked, so they don't have to spawn in the canal.
