Can someone help me with Dragon Age: Origins?

i made my human into a tank type character and once i got oghren i kept him going in the same direction.both are really good and are usually the last two standing depending on how many there are in the battle.my character uses a sword and shield but i kept oghren with two handed weapons.i think it depends on what other skills you take which one makes the better character.yes the armor does seem to make the dwarfs look even fatter than what they really are.hope this helps.

A dwarf is a better choice for a tank because they start out with 2 points more in their Constitution than humans and a 10% chance to resist hostile magic.

I would also go with sword and shield, because a tank is all about taking enemy attention away from other party members and being able to be pounded on without taking too much damage and that is exactly what the sword and shield abilities are directed toward. The two-handed fighter abilities are more about increasing damage than about making the fighter harder to kill. I usually don't take Sten with me in the beginning because he's always getting killed. It's really annoying! It gets better later in the game when he gets better armor though, but he can never seem to match Alistair for the ability to resist damage.

I actually think the heavy armor looks adorable on Oghren...but Oghren is just adorable anyway. I'm a female if you haven't guessed. :)
