What kind of doctor should I see?
I have a bump on my leg that I need to get checked out. Should I go to my regular doctor or is there a specialist I should see?

Most insurance companies require you to get a referral to see a specialist anyway, so go to your general practitioner/family doctor first. :)

Go to a regular doctor and if its serious enough to where you will need a specialist they will refer you to one. Its cheaper to go to your regular doctor and let them give you a referal then it is to go straight to a specialist on your own. Trust me i made that mistake I went to a dermatologist for acne and she gave me 4% bleaching cream and charged me an arm leg and kidney when i couldve went to my regular doc and she couldve prescribed me the same medicine for a $20 copay. Some things are learnt the hard way but go to your doctor first.
