Depending on the state if you are 16 or above you can open a Bank Of America account without a parent. Keep in mind this is State By State. If you really want to go to Bank Of America and you are a student I would say go with eBanking. There is no minimum balance however, soon they will be enforcing a $5.00 debit card monthly fee which if you choose to use your debit card for purchases like tacobell they will charge you a fee of $5.00 monthly. If you cannot afford this I would say go to a local credit union in some cases if you are a teen they have better plans suited for you. It's also ran by the Community.

You are choosing one of the worst banks out there.

They have fees for using debit cards, and fees just to have an account.

Has it occured to you to google the bank and look at their checking account ?

Something tells me that you are a minor.

If so, you can't open an account until you are 18

For your information. To get a debit card you need a checking account

Maybe in Mexico things are different

You need to deposit money to open a CHECKING account. Then you can request a debit card to ACCESS the funds in the checking account. You CAN'T open a debit card anywhere.

No such thing as opening a debit card. You open a checking account, and the debit card can be used to access your account. If you have any questions about the account, ask BofA.

If you're under 18 there are no fees. See the bank for details.
