Is it okay to key or damage a persons car if they park in a handicap space if they are not handicap?

I'm not OK with it, but I can certainly understand the temptation.

I printed up a bunch of cards, which say "In case you haven't noticed, you're parked in a handicapped parking spot. I've taken a picture of your license plate and car, and will be notifying the police. I do hope that you just forgot your hangtag. Have a NICE day!", and I put these cards (which are 5"x8") under the windshield wiper on the driver's side. And usually I do snap a pic of the offending car and license plate, and make a note of the time, date, and location. If I can get a picture of the driver, even better, but be warned, some drivers will get upset and try to beat you up, so I recommend carrying Mace openly, if it's legal in your area.

I'm handicapped myself, and have a lot of difficulty getting around. So like I said, I can certainly understand the temptation.

No I'm not ok with it. I mean the two spaces I can see why you'd WANT to, but still not cool to do. As to the handicap though how do you know their placard didn't fall off or they just forgot to put it up. In other words what if they really WERE handicap according to the State. Don't say you saw them either because some people look totally healthy but are handicap and have been declared so by the State.

No, I'm not okay with it. Maybe the person has a placard to hang from the rear view mirror and it fell off, only they're too handicapped to pick it up and put it back on. Seems pretty lousy to pick on the handicapped.
