Does a northern brown snake bite hurt?
Hey I have a northern brown snake and I want it to get used to me handling it but whenever I go to grab it it seems like it wants to strike me but he really is only trying to run away so I just wanted to know if it would hurt if I accidentally got bit.

Brown snakes are extremely docile, although I have seen them strike on rare occasions.
In the unlikely event that it bites you, it will not hurt.
They are shy and do not care to be handled.

I don't think it would hurt really, their head and teeth are so small and there isn't much force behind it.
Wildcaught snakes usually don't adjust to handling that quickly though, if at all. I think this guy will always stay skittish.
If you want a calmer snake, look at some classic beginner species and get one that was bred and raised in captivity.

I've never actually seen one try to bite, but if it did, it wouldn't even break the skin. It wouldn't hurt at all, but it might surprise you if it bit you unexpectedly.
