No, he hasn't been mentioned this season at all. I believe he was just a fill in doctor anyways and not a regular on the show. Which is good, because I hated him. :-)

He only had a year long contract with SGMW when Dr. Robbins left to Malawi. I'm sure since he hated the place and the doctors there, he completed his contract and left somewhere between Season 7 and Season 8.
