FANCY DRESS IDEAS. PLEASE HELP:D

Question

right, i have been invited to a fancy dress party (and its TOMORROW night) i have no idea what i am going to go as. i need ideas!?
me and my friend are going to go into town tomorrow and have a look round the shops to see if i can think of anything...but i think it would be best if i know what i am being so were not going in and out of the same shops all day-__-
i live in england, so they have to be english shops.

just wear a really fancy elegant looking dress with a lot of elegant jewelry and act like your the queen or something

if its halloween go as 
-sceam mask etc...
-witch (not very original but still a good classic)
 
If its a normal fancy dress find insperasion from books and the web
