Why is the NBA constantly missing chances to end the lockout?

I'm quite sad that the NBA has cancelled the first two weeks of the season, because the owners and the players are simply too dumb to try to negotiate a collective barganing agreement to end the lockout.

I also feel a lot of remorse towards Commisioner David Stern, because he hasn't been as aggressive as NFL commisioner Roger Goodell was in trying to end the NFL Lockout. And, he still hasn't done anything to balance the revenue among players, owners and coaches. Now, I am hearing rumors that if the lockout continues and the whole season is cancelled,, he might be forced to resign, because he didn't resolve it sooner when he probably should've, and we may never see another NBA game for the next two to three years.

Do you think the NBA is missing chances to end the lockout? Can the season still be saved? Or, will we really be screwed if this entire season and possibly next season is cancelled?

There's no way they miss more than one season. Everyone stands to lose too much if that happened. I think that there's a very good possibility of David Stern being fired, not because of how he's handling the lockout, but because I think there's a good chance the players offer to take a pay cut if they fire him. I stopped watching the NBA regularly because of David Stern and his policies. BRING LEBRON TO THE SEAHAWKS! haha

nicely with gamers going over seas to locate jobs and maximum proprietors claiming they are going to lose much less money via no longer having a season, the two factors are digging in. Kobe and Lebron are even offering to furnish gamers loans to assist shop the gamers united. it truly is all of the proprietors fault. The small marketplace proprietors (Indiana, Milwaukee, Charlotte, etc.) declare they have been dropping money with the aid of previous collective bargaining contract (CBA), yet are unwilling to launch their financial guidance to confirm such claims. The gamers locate that somewhat fishy. It seems likes we could lose a season, which sucks with the aid of fact the Knicks are commencing as much as get stable lower back.
