Go to Start, "Computer", right click, hit dropdown properties, then on the left margin hit "Advanced System Settings", hit the tab "System Protection". Now that you have got it, hit all drives that you have and when they come up, hit them individually and hit "configure". Hit turn off restore for this drive. For your system drive, I IMPLORE YOU, reduce it to say 2%, BUT DO NOT TURN IT OFF, UNLESS YOU LUKE TO CRY!

WHY WOULD YOU LIKE TO TURN OF SYSTEM RESTORE? YOU SHOULD GO BACK TO THE EARLIEST RESTORE DATE AND TRY THAT.

IF that does not work, get yourself a great AV and anti-root kit program.

YOU HAVE TO FIND THE REGISTRY ENTRY OF THE VIRUS, DELETE IT THRU REGEDIT, OR FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS FROM SAY NORTON AS TO HOW TO GET RID OF THE VIRUS.

It could seem a little daunting, but follow the instructions to the exact letter and you will get rid of the creepy bugger.

Deleting System Restore will only get the Virus out of you past System Information. It may be necessary, but if you do not get it out of the registry, you are nowhere.
