Need opinion about potential auto accident?

How fast would somebody have to be going to hit a parking lot divider and crack a corner light? I borrowed a friend's car and the corner light is cracked.. I wasn't very alert, I was tired, and it was poorly lit and I managed to bump into a mall parking lot cement island at a somewhat high speed (maybe 30?). Do you think the bumper could have been hit and cracked the light or does that sound rather ridiculous? How difficult and expensive would it be to repair this myself? The light is totally fine, but the cover has been cracked and dislodged.

It's very possible at that speed.30 mph in parking lot I am surprised that's all the damage that was done. Depending on year and make on how much the lens covers are. Most are sold as assemblies and can be expensive.

You can crack a light and a bumper at 5MPH. You were going way faster than that. If it's a friend's car, quite being a weasel, stop looking for a way out, man up and pay for the damage you caused.

If the light is available in the aftermarket (non factory at an auto parts store), they can go for less than $100. From the dealer the cost is closer to $250. A bumper cover will cost you about $400-$600 including installation and painting.
