Christmas/birthday present ideas for my horse?
I know it might sound a bit dumb but I'd like some ideas for what to get my horse for Christmas. I don't really want a saddle pad or a halter or anything like that because it's something that's more for me and not the horse. I'd also like some ideas for her birthday, which actually isn't too far away (in March). Any ideas are appreciated as long as they're not ridiculous :)

Presents like headcollars, grooming kits etc. are of course presents for you, your horse couldn't care less.
If you want to give you horse a present you are going to have to do rather than buy. If your horse likes to run, how about boxing to a beach or a gallop track. Take some other horses as horses love to run as a group. If you have the nerves try a half day hunting.
Buy a book on massage and try it out on your horse, or even book a professional. If you budget won't stretch to that and your horse is in for most of the time in winter, so you horse would love some grazing in-hand - and it won't cost you a thing :-)
- You could ask for a name plate for your saddle if you don't already have one, they're so cool.[:
- Scented fly spray for the warmer months, my friend has Marigold fly spray, it's to DIE for. Everyone loves it.!
- Of course you can always ask for the basics (treats, new boots, gloves, helmet, bit, whatever)
- Maybe a neat colored sleazy/blanket.
- New shipping boots.?
- Maybe new brushes with his/your name on it, I have my horses names on all their junk.[:
- If you're into horse online horse games, you could ask for your parents to buy the money or whatever you want on there.
- It's also possible to find a horse soccer ball.! I've heard those are fantastic (a bit pricey if you ask me though)
- If your barn already doesn't have one, a portable radio so you can listen to music while riding (I love to listen to music with my horses, it takes the edge off of doing something scary for the first time, and makes memories. I still remember the first time things I did on my horses when the songs come on).
- Funny horse hats or whatever is in your area/you want. Our local tack shop has reindeer and Santa hats for horses.
- CHAPSTICK. Oh my gosh the times I forget Chapstick during the colder months, I die a little inside, I can't focus on anything else when my lips are getting chapped haha.
- Hand warmers
-Some homemade treats.
-Jolly ball
Sorry its kinda lame :)

What i like to do is make a really nice dinner for my horse. I put lots of apples carrots bread or other treats my horses like into the feed bucket and put a little molasses on top. my horses love this. Also spoil her for the day. Give her a nice long groom and take her out to hand graze her on the trails or something.
As for presents you could but her a salt lick or some stall or pasture toys.

I would say a mineral or salt block horses love that (just be sure to keep plenty of water nearby) I would also say you could get a lot of fresh fruit and veggies like apples, watermelon rind and fruit, carrots, cantaloupe just whatever your horse likes and put it in a bucket full of water and freeze it its i nice refreshing treat that he/she will love!

take her for an easy ride to a stream with a meadow, take off the saddle and bridle and put on the halter, kick back and just watch her check out the new place, she will periodically whinny or come back to see if you are still there, then you will know she loves you.

What does your horse like? Toys, treats, etc? That's what I would get her...does she like to swim, stuff like that? Favorite treat an apple? Get her a big bag of those..

You could buy her some new treats! Or make her a nice yummy fruit and veggie salad! she would LOVE that! Mix stuff like carrots, apples, pear, spinach and whatever other veggies you have and put them in a nicely decorated bucket for her!

My dog loves chasing tennis balls, so I get him one of those bags of tennis balls from Big 5 and a box of treats. I don't really know what horses like, but you could get your horse a bunch of carrots, or sugar cubes, or whatever it loves to eat. I don't think horses play as much as dogs do, so I'd probably go along the lines of treats , unless your horse likes to play with stuff.
