Why did native men do things like hunt while women did things like look after the children?

Why was the work divided like this.

    That was just a generally accepted way of life and no one really had a reason to challenge the status quo because they weren't ever exposed to an alternative lifestyle.

    Listen up- who gave birth to the children and nursed them for years? The fathers surely couldn't do it

    Men and women were created differently. It's a scientific fact that men were originally the hunters-protectors and providers. The women gave birth and are "hard wired" to be more domesticated. This is not a dig at anyone, just the facts. Of course in this day and age things have changed..
