WHY IS GOOGLE DOING SO WELL?

Most people use google because its their homepage. We all know how to "google"

especially when teaching someone computer illiterate to use a pc.. .you say "you can google this"

and anyways.. google basically becomes ones home page.

I hate using and or being on things like yahoo or bing as search engines.. google is great.

Myspace disappeared because it became all about local bands and music. People didn't want that. Then comes Facebook with a solution to your problem. Facebook has a simple nice interface and its easier than ever to stay in touch with your friends and family you don't see everyday. You can talk on the chat, now video chat and I guess "stalk" peoples news feed (which i personally don't care for) but people are drawn into what others are doing with their lives and like to watch "news" that basically happens in real time.

As for privacy issues/complaints with fb... all I can say is if people are worried about their privacy or public info.. either A don't make a facebook. (which half the world truly doesnt care) (we are the ones posting our info) and B have common sense and know what to post and what not to.

Back on topic.. Google does well because millions of people use it and have it set as their search engine. Like I said all you hear is "google it" not "yahoo it" or "bing it"

and people use a buunch of Googles products.. not just the search engine. Google earth, gmail, android phones w/ google (HTC G2) google maps, etc. That is why they are doing so well.

Google censures a lot of thing, especially if you say bad things about left wing wackos, such as obama and his wife You can't trust Google.

They're anything BUT a tollbooth for advertisers so get your facts straight.

They're doing so well because they have good business leaders, they don't like ads, and they have good products.

Google makes money from selling online ads. Their products are far better than anyone else's and they continue to come up with good stuff.

No reason you shouldn't use them. Get yourself a gmail.com and join in. Facebook is a piece of junk, I agree with you, but Google is wonderful.
