Should we looking more towards road courses?

In the light of the death of Dan Wheldon should we now look at moving towards road courses?

    It should be considered. There have been 4 deaths in Indy Car and all of them have been on oval tracks. I mean the cars are doing 220+ mph most of the time while the drivers are going through corners, 3 or more, side by side flat out. You would have thought that Indy's governing body would have learned by now considering all their deaths have been on oval tracks. I wouldn't say get rid of all oval tracks but cut the less prestigious ones and replace them with road courses.

    Not because Dan Wheldon death or dangers on oval track i think yes, cause road races are much more interesting and funny. And there one does need driving skills.

    Well at the Indianapolis 500 they have 33 cars because that is considered the max number of drivers for that track to be considered safe. This race they had 34 cars racing, and because of small fields of entries in the past now everyone who shows up makes the race. In my opinion for this kind of banked track a limit of 25 cars seem about right.

    If you watched the race, the drivers said that they had to many cars on the track racing and that they also had too many green drivers out there as well.
