legal ownership of Judea and Samaria?
many pro-pals here say that israel doesn't have a right to build in Judea and Samaria. which is weird:
in 1967 israel took control of it from Jordan. Jordan wasn't the legal owner of judea and samaria as they took it by force in 1948. only the UK and Pakistan ever acknowledged jordan's control of Judea and Samaria.
so what about decision 181 - the partition plan? it was merely a suggestion. a suggestion that the arabs declined and the jews accepted. therefore it is worth nothing.
prior to that, after the WW2 the UN validated that Britain should help to build israel as a jewish state.
in 1922, san remo (league of nations) said that Britain is to help build israel as a jewish national home.
in 1917 (same league of nations) gave Britain the mandate over Israel and Trans-Jordan to build a national home to the jews. including Jordan? somehow those british people tricked us and gave in our name 80% of the area.
prior to that it was a turkish territory, but they don't have any claims for it anymore.
so from a LEGAL point of view Israel is the rightful owner of Judea and Samaria, but we are willing to negotiate and help building another arab country so the arabs in Judea and Samaria will have a nationality as well.
so why do the pro-pals here say that israel doesn't have a right to build in Judea and Samaria?
i didn't say anything about military might, or about the people who live there.
all i asked was, what is the LEGAL justification for the claim that it is ILLEGAL for Israel to build in Judea and Samaria?

What an excellent question and explanation.Obviously the more uninformed or prejudiced will disagree.
Wilbert blew a gasket about your use of the Biblical terms Judea and Shomron (Samaria). He objects no doubt to the original Hebrew names. Is it too Jewish for his tastes? He prefers West Bank, which is a misnomer ,because it extends up to 9 miles from the Mediterranean Sea.
At least he avoids the term Palestine which was given to Israel by the Roman invaders in order to alter history and imply that the land was originally Phillistine.Britain used the same ruse to name the Jewish Homeland when it was granted a mandate over both sides of the Jordan river. It promptly lopped off 78% to set up a puppet kingdom of Transjordan on what Wilbert would call the East Bank. The Arabs in Gaza,Judea and Shomron happily became Jordanians until the land was liberated by Israel. They than decided that they were Philistines after all. They started calling themselves Phallistinim. Arabic does not have a "p"sound,-therefore Palestinian in English.
You call Israeli's "thieves' for possessing and settling in their 3.500 year old ancestral home.Your hatred exceeds your knowledge of ownership and right and wrong. But than we are expecting too much!

Because most of the world has given in to Arab political and oil pressure.
Anyways, the ridiculous claim that Arabs can legally build there but not Jews is blatantly racist.

I don't give a crap about ancient history. The Arabs started the recent wars and lost.
So to the victor belongs the spoils. The Israeli's gave back the Sinai. South Lebanon.
Gaza and most of the West Bank. They did this to find peace, but instead of thankfulness
they got rockets and human bombs in return. If the Arabs don't like the present
arrangement, come on over and try to take it back.

Mr. Arilou
Are you looking for truth or you just want twist the truth?
First of all,you have to understand the following facts:
1. what is the difference between Israel, Jews and children of Israel
Israel is a state created by Zionism (a very rich movement, looking for money by creating a state who can achieve the goals of this movement by any means including power. It found the poor Jews as people to establish that state and it choose a name Israel to encourage Jews all over the world to move to that state). there is no big relation between Jews and the children of Israel, not more than 6% of Jews are from the children of Israel. go and study the history before you decide any thing.
2. The Arabs Canaanites) lived in the land of Canaan long ago before the children of Israel arrive it. Remember that Jews nowadays are not children Israel; they are just people from all over the world converted their religion into Judaism; black white yellow people they are not nation. go to Israel and look at their faces.
3. Tell me where you from, then I can tell you what and where you come from.
4. It is legal to arabs from all over the Arab countries to live in the land of Canaan more than the Jews except those Jews originally are arabs (remember 6%)
5. Imagine that you go to England and destroy the houses of English people and kill their children and built settlement in their land, how they would react...
The answer is NO

i feel like i wanna take a dumb when i read this nonsense . I don't even know what the "league of nations" is! But common sense tells me that some one who lives in Palestine since a very long time has more right to the land than some one who never step a foot on that land until 1900's.

Arabs build in Israel.
Why shouldn't Jews build where they want?
And yes, might is right. See the case of most countries in the world.

Why are you so reluctant to say the West Bank as that's its now its internationally recognised name . Could it be that you are trying to say that the illegal settlements in the WEST BANK are in fact legal.? . That argument just does not hold water. You know it,I know it, and in fact the world knows it
that is except the thieves that have settled there and a few misguided people as yourself

Might makes right... is that what you're saying?
