A rock is thrown at an 90.0 degree ...?

... to the horizontal with a speed of 11.5 m/s. a) how far does it travel? b)how high does it go?

    This is probably your hw, but with the amount of information you provided, it's not enough to figure it out. It depends on what the shape and mass of the rock is. I'm also guessing that this is at sea level where the earth's acceleration of gravity is 9.8m/s2.

    If this is your physics hw, then whoever gave you this problem is an idiot. You could go tell your teacher that.
