Who are your top 10 players in the NBA?

Im talking about the present, here and now. This was just debated on ESPN First Take. ESPN.com ranked LeBron James #1, Kobe at #7, and Blake Griffin somehow at #10. Skip Bayless and Stephen A Smith have LeBron outside the top 5 and both have Kobe in the top 5. What do you all think?

My List:

1. Kevin Durant

2. Dwight Howard

3. Dirk Nowitzki

4. Derrick Rose

5. Kobe Bryant

6. Lebron James

7. Dwyane Wade

8. Carmelo Anthony

9. Chris Paul

10. Paul Pierce

Guys that missed the cut: Pau Gasol, Jason Kidd, Amare Stoudimire, Russell Westbrook, Zach Randolph, and Rajon Rondo

Update:

Im looking at guys that can perform ALL season, yes Lebron is the most talented, but is he more important to a team than Durant, Howard, Nowitzki, Rose, or even Wade?

    As of right now:

    1. Dirk Nowitzki

    2. Dwayne Wade

    3. Dwight Howard

    4. Lebron James

    5. Kevin Durant

    6. Kobe Bryant

    7. Chris Paul

    8. Derrick Rose

    9. Blake Griffin

    10. Carmelo Anthony

Dirk beat Kobe, Durant, James, and D-wade on his way to the championship. He is easily #1 "right now."

    3. Kobe Bryant

    4. Dirk Nowitzki

    5. Derrick Rose

    6. Carmelo Anthony

    1. Kobe Bryant Reason: He has not slowed down people, He is trading stats for longevity which in his mind equals more rings. He can average 35ppg this season if he WANTED to and we all know this. Plus he shuts down wade, durant, and all other shooting guards. No one can shut down kobe consistently(Kobe's toughest defender is ray allen for some reason).

    2. Dwayne Wade: Only one player shuts him down(Kobe...check the stats people don't argue). He is a very good one on one defender and has a better than average jump shot. He can take over a game with 7 minutes left better than all players except Dirk and Kobe.

    3. Lebron James: Skip bayless and Stephen Smith don't even have him in the top 5 for the same reason I dont have him number 1. He can't handle pressure moments and his jump shot is average. Remember the 2008 Olympic final when Lebron did exactly what he did in the finals and 2009 Game 7 against Boston...He dissapeared and Kobe had to take the game over in order for the U.S. to win the gold(dont argue! watch the game starting with 8:30 left in the 4th quarter. He is a good one on one defender and a great help defender. He is a great passer. He needs a 20 foot jumpshot and has ZERO post up moves, unlike the rest of the top 10. Lebron does decent guarding kobe but was horrible against wade. Lebron gets stopped by kobe and for some reason joe johnson.

    4. Dirk Nowitzky: Amazing, unstoppable mid-range game. Very good passer. Good post up moves. He's clutch offensively but he is attacked defensively with seconds left in a game. He is heavy footed which makes him a very average defender. Like Kobe there is not one defender that can shut him down but then again he can not shut any one player down. Dirk will not be in the top 10 2 years from now.

    5. Kevin Durant: He will be number 1 in two years. He is humbled enough to realize his defense is horrible, which is gonna make him the best player in the league soon. His jumpshot is very very good and it's still underated. He is not good at taking contact and finishing. He gets knocked off balance and unlike the top 4 he gets almost completely shut down by one player in the game(Ron Artest). Why? because Artest knocks him off balance as he catches the ball and just before he takes his jump shot. If it wasn't for ron artest, durant would be number 3. He will win a championship once he leaves OKC.

    6. Dwight Howard: come on people did you see what gasol and bynum did to him two seasons ago? He can dominate against 90 percent of the league but there is a way to stop howard..'make him remember how short he is'... haha thats right compared to a real center he is short. He is a superb athlete but he can't guard a bynum. He fouls out against the bynums and Gasols of the game. He is the best shot blocker and 2nd best rebounder in the game(kevin Love). He has more post up game than Lebron but it is still not good enough for his position.

    7. Carmelo: He can score 40 on you but you can score 40 on him, and if he tries to guard you he will foul out. Just like durant, ron artest makes carmelo look average if not worse. He has great post up moves but average footwork. He is stronger than most and can shoot that three pointer.

    8. D. Rose: to quick to defend. He is only an average passer and decent defender. He has a 3-pointer and for his size he finishes with the best of them. His leaping ability is insane and he releases the ball at the peak of his jump during jumpshots which makes him hard to defend.

    9. Chris Paul: Insane mid range game, great passer and very good off the ball defender. Probably the best stealer in basketball. He can run a team better than rose but not as good as nash. He is a gretaer slasher(trvor ariza) away or a good alley oop big man away (tyson chandler) from being ahead of rose.

    10. Paul Gasol: Underated defender. Great footwork. Great mid-range jumpshot. Great passer. When you say great 3 times or more that person is a great player.

    11. The big suprise....Andrew Bynum: I am not a fan of him but he is the best and probably the only true center in the league. Okay maybe not the only true center, I guess kendrick perkins and few others can be considered true centers. Bynum will start the all-star game this up coming season and will win another championship. He shuts down any other center and is to big for even the best center in the league (Dwight Howard). He blocks shots like howard, he has a better post up game than Gasol and his footwork is super super good. He is a dominant ofender and defender at times during the game. This next season with the help of kobe, bynum will be better than gasol.
