How many have taken economics?

I took AP Microeconomics in Highschool, and I'm taking Macroeconomics now in college.

You see politics and government in a different perspective after you've taken economics

I've taken Econ 101 and about 4-5 other Econ courses.

Amazing how many ignorant people there are commenting on the economy who have absolutely no clue what they're talking about

The dominant ideology dictates the teaching content of educational establishments. That which we are taught in school, college, university etc, is only that which those that benefit from this economic model determine we should know. Economics classes will teach you how this system works "in theory." The truth, however, is somewhat different.

To achieve high education in this society, you need do no more than show that you have accepted lies as truth.

i understand the concept of free food from a forest and free stores in town .see if a container of hamburgher costs five dollars then it costs six with tax or even more. if yu just knock the tax off and give the price of each hamburgher container in the store to the community to finance the payment of the stores as well as other things that is economics. if you mean taking capital an investing in a corporatiion i am not talking about that just bascic mathematics.

Econ 101? Most people anymore get out of high school without even knowing how to write a check.

I did. Majored in economics, actually.

Biggest problem I had was that theories are based on rational actors, yet that isn't how things play out in real life. Ever.

Yeah, that's why those of us who understand economics cautioned that supply-side, Republican economics was mathematically and logically doomed to fail in a catastrophic financial collapse.

And here we are...........

I did and became disillusioned with theory versus reality.
