Need to boost my wifi router?

After years with the same problem and messing about with numerous routers from Belkin, Linksys, etc (and spent an absolute fortune buying new when there was nothing wrong with the old) I bought the latest Netgear and it's just awesome.

Don't ask me why because I'm not that up on how these things work from the technical side but I now have a massive range on my wifi, an area that none of the others came close, I have a crisp connection on my xbox and me and my 2 daughters can have out 3 laptops running all at once.

This Netgear router is the business and well worth the (almost) £100 I paid for it.

Position it better

Unless you are living in a cave and you somehow miraculously have internet connectivity at the same time, you probably figured out that if your wireless router was in the corner of your kitchen under a pile of old newspapers and your computer was located on the second floor on the opposite side of the house — it is a great idea to place your router in an open position (preferably in the center of your house) where it isn’t obstructed by dense or metallic objects such as file cabinets or brick walls.

I would recommend buying a G+ Router. If not, the router you have now, try turning it on its side, that way the signal should go higher better. Remember microwaves, and other signals interfere with routers.

there is all kinds of solutions ive seen videos using pringles cans, aluminum foil that work

they make receivers you can buy from amazon it comes with two they plug in to the wall and

take a Ethernet cable one plugs in by your modem the other wherever you need it,

or find the dead center of you house and move the modem there
