Is it normal to feel emotionally awkward the day after sex?

It would be awkward if you hadn't built on actual feelings before sex. It's better to get to know someone for real before anything physical happens. I think it's because you guys spoke online and never spoke face-to-face, you jumped straight into 100% physical contact, without getting to know the other person when they were right in front of you.
