What are the best backpacker spots in south America? Two or three...?
Going and want to do some treking as well. Brazil and Argentina still have this or have to go to Andes? I'd like to sign up for 3-4 day trek once I get there?!! Thanks!

I've heard the new hottest backpacking spot is in Colombia...like Bogotá....I'm going there in a month but just to see a friend not to backpack but this is what I've heard and read while looking stuff up about Colombia before I travel off there soon.
I've recently traveled to Brazil this summer, São Paulo and Rio for 6weeks.....I'm not sure of any backpacking spots in those areas but I'd like to think a place more south like Rio Grande Do Sol would be the best bet for you to that and also the most safest place in my own opinion

Hi!
Argentina must to be, Argentina provides plenty of opportunities for those who like to take on nature up close and on foot. Discover the unique and thunderous Iguazu Falls, on the border with Brazil. Beaches in Argentina have crystalline waters, high waves, fine golden sand and a beautiful area with dunes and forests. The oldest resort, Bariloche, offers good ski and beautiful views of the Nahuel Huapi region. Ushuaia offers fantastic cross-country skiing.

I think Colombia is great, too: Colombia offers its beautiful landscapes, rich heritage, cosmopolitan cities, mouthwatering cuisine and friendly hostels: http://www.hostelsclub.com/country-en-13.html
And also Venezuela ant its famous Angel Falls!
Have a nice trip!
