HDTV line conditioner? USB? Suppressor?

I have a 32 Inc samsung HDTV, Comcast cable box, Wii and PS2.

i noticed playing some games they have some interfeerance from my house lights or when some one is getting a drink/ice from my fridge, i know my house power isnt exactly the best ( townhome who a previous owner years ago was an electricion who hooked things up strange) but i wanted to know would a line conditioner help my TV picture look better and not have the interfeerence? a UPS ??

or should I go ahead and run a dedicated breaker to my box ( that i don't really know how to do )

any input is apriciated, even a link to something that would work IE. one of the forementioned that YOU may have bought/owned.

Any backround on your experience with this question is appreciated

Yes - it sounds like your HDTV system is wired to the same leg as other power devices and when they crank up - it causes funny spikes and dips in your power.

Having an electrician come out and wire a dedicated 30 amp breaker to your living room will help. The bad part is - your wiring may need some work and some walls may have to be opened so he can isolate the wires in the living room.

You may simply need to wire the living room to the other leg of your service. (You have 220 coming in and this is split into 2 'legs' of 120 volts each. Ideally your power-hungry kitchen is on one leg but your living room and bedroom are all wired to the other leg.) Again - have someone come out to take a look.

A Power Conditioner would help - but these ... are kind of expensive as they have to be a mini-power plant that isolates your gear from the AC system and has a few seconds of storage to provide power if the up-stream power dips. Expect to spend $700-$1,500 for one of these.

A surge-suppressor only prevents spikes above 120 volts from reaching your gear. It does nothing for dips in the power.

A UPS .. .is a battery charger hooked in and will switch over only in case of a power outage. It wont condition the power.

Call a few electrical service companies to come out, tell them the problem and get estimates for re-wiring your living room power. This is probably your best bet.

    Hope this helps.

so that you'll be able to connect your computing device to the television and feed signal for audio and video to the television, and probably plug in a digicam or MP3 participant (i can plug my digicam into my television to feed an illustration to it).
