Does anyone know what the black toggle switch with a red light is for on a 1969 MGB Roadster?

I picked up a little roadster the other day and have been messing around with it. I am trying to figure out if it has overdrive or not. This is my first British car so I am trying to learn the ropes. Thanks, Jon

An overdrive adds a lot of value to the car and would have been brought to your attention by the seller unless they were a complete boob.
