Leash Training puppy troubles?

Im trying to leash train my puppy, but shes deciding to lay down or sit as soon as i get outside with her. Ive tried her with the leash in the house but again she sits and lays down. I have given her a little tug on the leash to see if she would start to walk with me but it didnt phase her. Ive also tried treats and commands. We have been going at this for a week now five times a day. Please help if you have any techniques, and/or solutions. Thanks

This is gonna sound mean, but drag them. It's how puppies learn. If they still don't move and it's choking them, get them a harness. But your dog will walk on its own. Also, do not take the leash off in the house. Just leave it on. She'll learn how to walk with it on, then when you pick it up, she knows what it is and everything. If you keep giving in like you do now, she'll think she's won. If you do this, it'll be about three days before your puppy is leash trained... Unless you already did a ton of damage and un-training with what you have been doing. Really though, this works, I've done it multiple times.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aMw9U

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Six foot max. supplies the puppy some freedom yet additionally delivers administration to reel the puppy in promptly if mandatory. by no potential use a retractable leash on an untrained animal - and that i does not use any style of versatile leash (i understand they make some that coil as much as a 4 foot length yet whilst pulled launch to 6 foot). Six foot, stable, leather-based or nylon.

My doxi hated the leash at first, she didn't understand that it was okay! I use to try and try to walk her around the house. So, I decided to tie the leash to her, and let her get to know the leash. When she realized it was not goin to hurt her, and that if I had the leash and said lets go bye bye she could come along. she slowly learned that the leash was good, you just have to keep trying to tell her its okay, and show her its a good thing.
