MDF or Marine Grade Plywood for sub box?

is there any difference in the quality of the sound if i use marine grade plywood over MDF? i would use 3/4" thick boards. and putting in a 12" sub for my car...

    Mdf will be better. Why do you think 97% if not more of the boxes you can buy are Mdf.

    the shape of the en closer is much more important than the type of wood you use,these days its cheaper to buy the en closer already made, than spending all that time building a box.take a look on ebay for audio equipment/en closers.they have many ready to go.and a vented box is louder and a box that is not vented will give deeper bass.its all up to you.good luck.

    heII YES THERES A DIFFERENCE..mfd IS ALSO KNOWN AS SHLT BOARD..

    marine uses waterproof glue,,,while box may never get wet..moisture in a car is always there in winter,,in cold and warm temp changes
