How long does a homeowners insurance refund take to process?

I was overcharged for 5 years by state farm for not having Hurricane clips which turns out I had them. I filed for a refund and have not heard anything for 5 weeks. How long does this process usually take to get a refund?

It usually takes about 3 to 6 weeks. They generally won't credit you further back than the current year's insurance. If you don't pay your premium in full every year, you won't see a check - they'll apply the credit to any future payments you have due, so it will reduce the amount of your future payments.

This is a great example of why you need to take the time to review your policy every year, when it renews.

pick up the phone/call your agent..he can answer you as to whether they're going to give

you a check or a credit. it is doubtful they will go back more than 3 yrs regardless in a refund

amount/the other two years may be lost since you didnt call it to their attn that all was kosher

w/your place after all; 36 months is usually the ceiling for money refunds. only you can get this

answered/call the agent n find out what gives...what are they doing/he knows or will know....

the place I stay, Chase is open on Saturday, so so you might the two bypass at the same time then. when I certainly have exams to funds, I constantly bypass to my economic employer (in case you have sufficient deposited at maximum banks, they are going to funds exams drawn on different banks for you), whether the verify is drawn on yet another economic employer.
