Beta fish :) their extremly easy to take care of, u only need to feed them a couple times a week, and they dont need an air pump. And on top of that, their really nice to look at :)

Give us a bit of a clue here?
What sort of aquarium do you have? (or can buy)
No point telling you to buy an Oscar if you only have a 5gal tank. Then a betta would be a good option.
But it all starts with the aquarium, get that set up first, THEN decide what fish can live in it.
Or - if you have your heart set on a specific fish, that determines what size tank you are going to need, and how you set it up.

I know u might be looking for a probably sophisticated answer, but I'm gonna say GOLDFISH! They're beautiful, and for me, very nice to look at. It soothes me......... heheh!
