Tourism: Things to do/Massive events in America?
Okay so I am headed to America (From Australia) next year, and am keen to attend some crazy events.
Im only saying crazy events, because the upmost top event on my list to do, is the Burning Man festival in Nevada (Is that San Fransisco?).
Is there anything similar at all?
Im an open individual, by saying that I mean, Im up for pretty much anything, as long as its fun or beneficial.
I like cultural type stuff, for example, how Comic-Con is the culture of geekyness (Which ill also attend, earlier on my trip)
Ill most likely be head over in June, and leaving in late October. Ill be working between July and august, so can't really do anything around then, but, please reccomend any events or experiences I can have in the U.S., regardless of location or date, because if im interested enough in something, I may attempt to extend my trip.
THANKYOU.
My list so far is;
-Burning Man Festival
-Comic-Con
-New York in general (So much stuffs to do in New York)
-Disney land/world
-Harry Potter land.
No idea what else there is to see..
But im an 18 year old.. if that helps..
THANKYOU

Los Angeles has all the major tourist traps like Disneyland, Magic Mountain and Universal Studios, but try and take in some sights like the Getty Center. It has one of the largest art collections in the world and because of it's large endowment, it's free.
Since you are going to Cominc-Com some must see attractions in San Diego are the world famous Zoo, Sea World, and Balboa Park. Balboa Park is the largest urban cultural park in the country. You can get a park passport which allows you entry to a dozen museums as well as the zoo.
When in California be sure to visit Yosemite. it's is one of the most unique places on earth. It's one of those places you must see before you die.
If you want stunning vistas, Yosemite is the place. Glacier Point is breathtaking.

A must see is Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park

There are many trails that connect the Sequoia groves.

Besides the Sequoias, there is a rare marble cave in the park (most caverns are limestone). Crystal Cave is accessed by a picturesque half-mile trail that leads to the Merced river valley.
Moro Rock is a great hike. You climb nearly 400 stone steps to the top of the barren rock (6,725-foot elevation)

Enter the park from the south, CA Route 198. It doesn't allow RV's or trailers so there is less traffic. It's a mountain road that climbs thousands of feet, has great hairpin turns and the views are spectacular.

There is lodging at Three Rivers, CA and it is close to the entrance.

San Fransisco is in California not Nevada.
Go to the Grand Canyon in Arizona
Seattle washington and the San Juan Isands
Orlando florida's theme parks including Discovery Cove
If you do go to Orlando stop by Disney Village and Universal's City Walk
Las Vegas Nevada
Boston Mass.

No, Nevada is not in San Francisco. Nevada is a state on its own. San Francisco is a city in California.
If I were you, I would do a little bit of studying of the US Map and its major cities before you make yourself look like a fool. Not trying to be mean, but it's just common sense. There is so much to do in America in general. Since your going to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, you should take advantage and see the beautiful Florida beaches. Maybe go to New Orleans, a city unlike any other. It all really depends on what you like.
