My Playstation 3 Won't Recognize Discs?
I have a Playstation 3 and it does not recognize discs. Other than that it seems to work fine. The Netflix App works fine. The lights in front are the right color. I have turned on/off the machine multiple times. Did a systems update. Ejected discs and put them back in numerous times. For some reason when I put in a disc the disc does not show up anywhere in any menu. Any clues? What should I do?

You should send it back to Sony via Gamestop and have them fix it. But is there anything that could cause this? (Damage to the disks, Shock Damage to the PS3 itself? Dust clogging the reading part?)

have you ever checked in case you have an up-to-the-minute firmware? PS3s will carry out at that's maximum suitable if firmware is as much as this factor. you may connect it to the internet. If definite, the attempt to reset it via pressing and conserving down the potential button for 10 sec until it beeps and resets. If the issue nevertheless persists, then that's time for an replace. cheers!
