Do GPS units sold in the UK automatically come with a British accent voice?
This is a silly question, but if you could just humor me I would appreciate it. When you buy a GPS unit from a store in the UK. does it automatically come with a voice that has a British accent? Or do you have to change the settings on the unit to select the British voice?

I believe it is automatically selected in most cases. The standard voices preloaded on most GPSs are a British English voice, an Irish English voice and an American English voice.

I am from the US living in the UK and the GPS I have from the UK has a British accent.

Yes usually, but there are settings on most to enable you to change the voice (downloading from the internet) so you can use any voice or accent you want.

On mine, I can choose language and when it comes to English, US or British varients and male or female. Welsh IS NOT an option.
