minecraft runs slowly on my computer since 1.8 update?
my computer is very good and ive never had any problems running it on all of the most advanced settings before, but now i can have render distance on tiny and its still slow. i dont know what to try. ive defragmented, and cleaned up programs i wasnt using anymore, but its still painfully slow 15-20 fps with fog tiny render and fast graphics

I would say backup your Minecraft and then delete it. Re-download it and make sure to force update. If that doesn't work then I would update your drivers. If neither of those work then i would suggest contacting Mojang and ask them.

You could try to update your drivers and your java .
