How come most Call of Duty players are underage kids?

I was at my cousins house and they were playing Call of Duty. They are 8 and 12 years old. And they were playing online with other kids.

The thing is, they were swearing like truck drivers. Me and my friends were in the other room listening to them act all tough and whatnot. It was funny cuz their voices are like Minnie Mouse's on helium. Trying to act all ghetto and pretend that their a big wheel and all that. Crazy stuff.

Anyway, isn't Call of Duty a game for grown-ups? How come they sell this game to kids at most GameStop stores? Or is it really a game for kids?

Looking for replies from experts on this issue.

Thanx

Children playing M rated videogames is actually a very common thing.

In fact, if you have 8 and older kids playing videogames these days, you will find that they have played almost all of the CoD games, one or two of the Grand Theft Auto games, Halo, Gears of War and especially, the recent Batman games.

How did they get their hands on these games you ask? You can thank their CLUELESS PARENTS. Who always ignore the M rating on the box. And who grew up thinking that videogames are just Super Mario or Pac Man. And have not realized that videogames are being made for different age groups, not just for kids.

Anyone that doubts that kids play Call of Duty or any online M rated game, just go to Youtube and search for "kid playing (place M rated game here) game" and you'll find lots of them. There is even a famous one where a kid insults his mother. Yelling at her to get him a chocolate drink.

Game shops can't sell this game to children. It's irresponsible parents who are allowing their kids to play this game and swear up and down like there's no tomorrow. There's a huge community of adults who play this game probably more than the kids do. I haven't ever come across an older call of duty player who hasn't agreed that children should absolutely not be playing this game.

The companies like infinity ward and activision and EA want to sell as many games as possible amd make massive profit on it so as long as they put on a safe front (by not letting kids under 18 buy them in the shop) they dont care who buys thier games e.g. Im under 18 and i went to my game store and i was looking at LA NOIRE (M rated) the guy in the shop said you shouldnt be looking at thay but when my dad showed him some money he couldnt care less :P
