Magic the Gathering Rules question:?

Does summoning sickness prevent a creature that can transform from doing so? For example: If I were to play Bloodline Keeper and already have 5 vampires out, could I pay one (B) to transform him that turn and give the rest of my vampires the +2/+2 bonus?

I know I can't tap him to create a vampire token on the first turn, but can I transform him?

Summoning sickness prevents a player from using its ability if the creature is required to tap to activate. Follow the link for Summoning sickness rules

Summoning Sickness prevents the creature from doing the following 3 things (assuming the creature does not have Haste):

    1) Activate an ability with the Tap symbol in the cost

    2) Activate an ability with the Untap symbol in the cost

    3) Attack

    Everything else is fair game.

    Yes, you can transform.

Summoning sickness just prevent a creature from tapping in any way.

Summoning sickness just affects tap abilities like attack and tap for mana etc. If it doesn't need to be tapped you can use it.

It depends on whether it requires you to tap him to transform him. If it doesn't then yes you can, if it does require a tap then no you can't.

Summoning sickness just means they are tapped. So just think of it like that.
