Take the "Come to Canada" quiz/screening tool on the Citizenship and Immigration website to find out if you are eligible to immigrate as a skilled worker. Work experience will help you, as well as having a job offer in hand before applying.

If you do get offered a permanent resident visa and move to Canada, you will need to have your credentials verified and apply for a license in the province you'll be working in.

As far as your nursing license goes you will have to contact the college of nurses ( our licensing bodies are called college) in the province in which you want to work. They will tell you how to proceed. They will assess your education and experience and then hopefully grant you permission to write the CRNE which is the licensing exam for Canadian nurses.

Go to cic.gc.ca for information on applying for immigration.

Please contact Princess Margaret hospital, Toronto Genaral hospital. Women's College hospital, Sunny Brooke hospital, Mount Sanai hospital, Sick Kids' hospital, Toronto Western hospital and find out if they are hiring or not. We are in shortage of nurses in Ontario and it is a golden opportunity for you to give it a try. Brampton Civic hospital in another great place to work for. It's a brand new hospital . You will love Canada . Beautiful, generous and simple. Good luck!

My impression is that there is always a nursing shortage. You would have to have your credentials checked and confirmed.
