    No doctor prescribed Equagesic to Bruce Lee. He took one his girlfriend Betty Ting Pei gave him after using marijuana, and the combo of drugs was too much for him, so he died. Equagesic has both pain killer and tranquilizer, so it both relaxes a person and relieves pain.
