What do you think of hijab?

Alot of people think it is oppression but I think of hijabs as beautiful. <3

I admire people who wear it because I do know that they have to go through so much.

So tell me what you think?

I like the hijab it shows that I have worth and that I am not just a symbol. I don't have to focus that I need to be pretty and that I need to look good for someone. I also hate how men judge women by how they look. I hate men inappropriate behavior against women. Like have you ever seen a man whistle at a Muslim women no, becasue they are all dressed more modest.

Some people describe women who wear the hijab as a protected diamond. God did not make diamonds to be found that easily. Some describe it as 2 lollipops: One is has been opened and has a lot of bees flying around it. While the other lollipop is covered and is waiting for the right fly to open up to it.

Assalamu alaikum I do agree with you thar wearing hijab of muslim woman is not an oppression I admire women who wear hijab because they look very beautiful and they show modesty. I think they are pious muslimahs because wearing hijab is mandatory based on surah 33 Al Ahzab verse 59 of the Qur'an

  • When i see a girl brave enough to wear a hijab and not care about other peoples opinion and do it for Allah, I think that is beautiful. Expeacially when girls love to dress them up and show of to guys or just look great, and not because you don't look great with hijab, but you don't show of. Thats what jihab does it covers you from the guys to stare. and you know how much girls love attention from guys.

I think it's brave and beautifull. They must love Allah allot.

I wish i was brave enough to get myself together and also wear it.

I wear hijab but I do look forward to the time of old age when I can take it off. I actually look quite a bit younger with hijab than not!

@Denisedd...The information you were given is wrong one! Muslim women regardless of income are required to wear it, it may be they are too weak to wear it. They lack the faith to wear it...Allah knows best. For sure women do not need any brainwashing for common sense approach to modesty!

You can upload a few material ( regardless of if it is not identical) to quick sleeves T-shirts, so they'll grow to be lengthy sleeves :) U would get the most cost effective material and make an extended sleeves anything, something u title it, simply lengthy & free. If u r now not well on stitching a rectangle for back and front and different two rectangles as sleeves. historical t-shirts will probably be well to make new jihabs. Do your first-rate with something u have, if u want styles or recommendations.. permit me kow I simply further u, Allah Hafiz Salam

It is a symbol of oppression it is disrespectful, sad and you have to go through a lot of brainwashing to think it is a good thing. Muslims I work with do not wear and tell me only uneducated Muslims do.

There is nothing common sense about it.

The women I work with are doctors and would never be taken seriously if they dressed that way. It is uncommon to see anyone woman dressed that way in Los Angeles – maybe once or twice a month.

Hijab is comfortable as well as keeping my hair away from day to day pollution. Less to wash out at the end of the day. No black grim and particles!

I can't really imagine myself without the protection of hijab. Its a beautiful gift and tawfeeq from Allah to Muslimas who wear it :)

Hijab is a choice after all, dressing modestly both for men and women is decreed with one single addendum for women to cover their chest. Period There is no “veil” in Quran 24:31 and last I checked “khimar” does not mean veil or the traditional suffocating Hijab. In fact God Himself defined Khimar in the Quran with its use which is restricted to a cover, which may or may not be a head cover.

It all depends on where you are, if not, it loses its intended purpose of dressing modestly and instead attracts unwanted attention which is the opposite of why we must dress modestly.

Furthermore we must not be put in a position where we spend our time forever explaining away why we look the way we look but to use the opportunity and attract non Muslims to Islam through who we are and not how we look.

I think all muslimahs should wear it whether they think it's beautiful or not coz Allah swt told us too.
