Do you agree that both owners and players are missing opportunities to end the NBA lockout?
Obviously, both the owners and players are too stupid to want to negotiate a collective barganing agreemen to end the lockout, and therefore they're missing opportunity after opportunity to try to save the season. And, now I'm hearing rumors that if the entire NBA season is cancelled as well as next year's, NBA commisioner David Stern might be forced to resign, because he wasn't as aggresive as NFL Commisioner Roger Goodell when he worked with the players and the owners to end the NFL lockout.. I feel a lot of remorse and anger towards the players and owners for being too selfish to work things out with David Stern, and if this season is cancelled and next year's as well, there'll be riots and demonstrations all over every NBA city. And, we'll all be in a deep state of hurt, because they didn't resolve it sooner when they really should've.

Fans are losing out but the real losers are the workers of the NBA, they aren't as rich as owners or players, I want to watch basketball as much as anyone but damn the real people getting hurt are the workers who aren't owners or in management. They are being greedy but David Stern isn't doing jack sh!t to end anything
EDIT: the players and owners are stupid for not meeting much at all during the summer

No, the players are to blame. The owners say that 22 teams are losing money, while the players contend that 8 teams are losing money. At least some teams are losing money. Both sides agree.
Too many mediocre players make too much money. Rashard Lewis, Gilbert Arenas, Carmello Anthony and Greg Oden are just some of the average players that make too much money. The owners have given too many bad contracts.
The players should learn from the old timers. Players from the 1950's though the 1970's were a lot less greedy. Even Michael Jordan got paid less than what he was worth for most of his career. His last two years, with the Wizards, he only made one million dollars a year. He donated his final year's salary to charity.
The players should come to terms with the ownwers. The owners have all the leverage. If the players do not accept the owners' terms, they will lose an entire year of pay. I will not feel sorry for the players.

Anthony makes a very good point. Why didn't they meet the second the lockout was official? I am not sure what day of the lockout we are one but I know it is close to 120. If everyone had met 120 days ago and started discussing this for 16 hours on end and over 24 hours in two days, the lockout would've been over by now. We probably would have even had our preseason. Stupid.

I disagree jointly with your argument. at the beginning, the vendors are richer than the gamers. That entire "they % me to in common terms have the means to purchase a million Ferrari a month" argument would not particularly make experience whilst the poorest proprietor is richer than the wealthiest participant. Your announcing the gamers do not deserve 2 Ferrari's a month, however the vendors deserve 10? i'm on the facet of the gamers. The NBA merely set attendance and tv scores information. The NBA is at its maximum popularity point ever. And now the gamers are assume to take an substantial paycut? The gamers already agreed to take a reasonably super paycut, and the vendors nevertheless % them to take a much bigger one. The vendors are in financial difficulty because of the fact of business enterprise judgements that they made, not because of the fact of something the gamers have achieved. think of you labored as a salesperson for a vehicle dealership. think of you in common terms had a checklist 3 hundred and sixty 5 days in sales, and the dealership as an entire merely observed its best sales 3 hundred and sixty 5 days ever. Then your boss brings you in and says "i'm sorry, I signed on the hire on the dealership belongings that develop into out of my funds, and now i'm unable to turn a earnings. you will could desire to take a ten% paycut". slightly unfair, top? thinking you in common terms had your superb sales 3 hundred and sixty 5 days ever. that's what the vendors are asking. even nevertheless sales has grown critically over the final couple years, the vendors % the gamers, who're ninety 8% in charge for that sales develop, to take a paycut. and not in common terms that, however the gamers are keen to take a great sized paycut. however the vendors are being grasping, and % extra. The vendors are dropping money because of the fact of undesirable bargains they make. My opinion? If the Atlanta Hawks proprietor is frightened approximately turning a earnings, do not supply Joe Johnson $one hundred twenty million. it is not that complicated. do not supply Joe Johnson $one hundred twenty million, then blame him on your earnings losses. What develop into Joe Johnson assume to do? "i'm sorry, i don't % $one hundred twenty million, merely supply me the $80 million i'm properly worth". gamers are being punished inspite of them doing a super activity. i'm on their facet.
