The arrival time of a prof. is uniformly distrib in interval between 8 and 9 am,

find the prob that the prof will arrive during the next minute given that

has not arrived by 8:30. Repeat for 8:50

    1. the prob that the prof will arrive during the next minute given that

    has not arrived by 8:30 = 1/(9hr - 8hr 30min)=1/30(Ans.)

    2. the prob that the prof will arrive during the next minute given that

    has not arrived by 8:50 = 1/(9 hr- 8 hr 50 min)=1/10(Ans.)
