I live in new zealand and i really want to go to uni in america.?
basically im sick of how small new Zealand is and want to go somewhere exciting. I want to do vet in uni, and the only uni that does it in NZ in massey in auckland so I would stay at home (i'm from auckland). I really want to experience things and want to go to the University of Florida and do vet school there? as an international student. how would i go about doing this? or is it really hard to go to uni in america from New Zealand?

First-You must have a four year Bachelor degree before you could apply to any US Vet school. There are only 28 Vet schools in the US. They are highly competitive and extremely difficult to get accepted into. Almost all US student go to another school for their Grad work. So you would not do your Bachelor degree and your Vet degree at the same school.
UF does have a Veterinary college.
cost of going to UF for UNDERGRAD out of state student is about $40,000 per year. that would include room and board.

As the previous person pointed out going to uni in the US would be outrageously expensive. That's US$40,000/year, so over 50k in NZ dollars. That is typical for US private schools and the state schools because you would be paying non-resident rates.
I hear this from line about NZ being boring and the US more interesting from young people in NZ all the time. I grew up in the US in a major city, Boston, went to college in Washington DC then moved to Auckland. I've lived in Auckland for 5 years now and I can tell you the US is no more interesting or exciting than here. There are no extra activities to do and because you'd know nobody you'd actually have much less to do. It isn't easy to quickly build up a whole network of friends from scratch in a new country. It is easier to do at a school (I went to Auckland Uni for grad school and made many friends there) but life will actually be more boring, at first at least.
Just because all the interesting news stories, movies, TV shows etc come from the US doesn't mean it is actually any more exciting to live there. The way of life in the US is nearly identical except a bit more stressful because more people means more competition for jobs etc. and a bit more materealistic.
If you find Auckland boring you'd be better off moving to a bigger city in Australia like Sydney or Melbourne. As a Kiwi you can move there without needing a visa. Living in a really big city would definitely be more exciting than living in Auckland but you don't need to go to the US for that. If you think you'd like Florida I suggest going to Queensland, Aus. I've been to both and honestly Queensland is like an exact copy of Florida but with an Aussie accent. They even have the same slogan "the sunshine state" on their number plates! Part of Gold Coast is called Miami Beach.
