the RMS rating is what you should be looking at and how much the sub can handle then match it with an amp that puts out the same amount of RMS either 2 channel or a mono or 1 channel.the RMS rating is how much true power an amp can make to give the sub and the amount the sub can handle. watts don't mean sht just try to buy good name brand equipment with a good RMS rating.some company's boast the watts just to suck you in. and boost there RMS ratings to.your best bet is to take one subwoofer to an audio shop and see what they think because there's other factors that matter like how many ohms you want them to run at and what they can handle. you have to know if they run off a 2ohm load or are they duel coil subs two magnets or are they best at a 4ohm load because the amp has to do the work the sub needs done to work its best.ask a pro they will give you the answers you need pick there brains that's what i do its free.then buy online were its cheaper and install it yourself just take your time.and your going to need a wiring kit a good one,and a good en closer for the two of them, and size matters.

There really is no "right" wattage. You put as much power to them to achieve the level of sound you're looking for. Up to the maximum they're able to handle without melting ... 300 rms each. If you're not looking to make your ears bleed and just want some bass to fill in for what you already have, you might only want 300 or 400 watts total. Otherwise you'll end up with far more bass than anything else. Now, if that's your goal, than get at least the 600 watts they can handle safely.
