how many watts should a decent front bike light have?at a decent price?

so tha ti can see the path, not just so people can see me.and what ones would be good around the 50 dollar mark

    It is hard to answer your question with any clear definition. It depends on when, where and how fast you ride your bike. Bicycle lighting deals with rider situations, it must be up to the task or the rder can get creamed. Best I can answer your question is for you to consider when you ride, where you ride and how fast. The other tricky aspect around lighting is that some lights are measured in lumens, others watts and candle light power, which means their is no uniform measurement in the bicycle industry for measuring up to a decent light. I don't think the $50 mark will get you a light that you can see ahead by much of anything. If $50 is your limit best to set your sights on lights to be seen. Cateye lights are a good start.
