A question for my fellow video gamers?

Is it me or is it super annoying when you go into game stop and they keep pushing that stupid rewards card on you everytime you go in there. And then after I buy battlefield 3 they ask if I want to preorder modern warfare 3 why the hell would I wanna do that?

Update:

Haha yeah I agree it's annoying, but it's their job!

    1. Reward cards have their uses.

    2. They're probably told to do that by the company they work for, and in this current economic climate, even a relatively low-paid retail job is worth hanging on to.

    3. All you have to do is say 'no, thank you'. If they persist, say, 'no thank you, I don't want it'. If they continue to push it, THEN you have the right to be grumpy.

I'm sorry that your shopping experience was ruined. Perhaps you could have a T-shirt printed up saying 'PLEASE DO NOT SPEAK TO ME' so that ordinary mortals will realise that you do not wish to have your ears sullied with their inane prattling.

Incidentally, I'm pretty sure that a lot of people who have bought BF3 will go on and buy MW3 as well.

It is annoying but I already have my rewards cards. Getting a 10% discount on certain items is worth getting the card. I do hate the pre-ordering thing, but they do need to fill their pre-ordering quota or goal. Without meeting it, some employees will get fired and the business will lose some sales.

The rewards card is actually pretty useful and pays for itself, you also get a free Game Informer subscription (paper OR digital). They push for pre-orders, because they're told to do so with each customer, whether it makes sense to do so, or not.

the preorder is a great way for gs to earn money without doing anything. if 1000 people preorder a game, that's 5000 they could put in a bank to earn interest.

i also heard that employees get commission for preorders so more reason for them to get you to preorder.

i already have the power up card and i don't visit gs that often so it doesn't bother me.

i do no longer ideas them in any respect! i think of they are form of fund to hold with! i decide for to artwork for The Sims agency or digital Arts (EA) co. yet yea as long as videogamers are not ALL Videogaming (like they decide for to get around and do stuff and not in simple terms sit down infront of a exhibit all day, and get undesirable) in any different case yea im pleased with them! superb of luck with da women! :P- KK

If they can get you to do that, they get paid more. Money is the ultimate motivator.
