Ra-one has a bad screenplay, looked like the crew was not concentrating on the screenplay. At the end, the movie even lacked an overall message.
Robot on the other hand, had a message at the end about AI and emotions and the disastrous consequences when both are mixed, they seemed to have taken cue from Hollywood superhero movies.
On the music front, both movies score equally good, but I personally think Ra-one edges past Robot.
Shahrukh did not have the on-screen presence of a superhero in Ra.One that Rajni did in Robot.
Overall, I would rate Robot as a better movie than Ra.One.

The one I liked the best is The Robot from the 1960's tv show Lost in Space. However the Terminator 2 robot comes in at a close 2nd.
