What makes you, a boxing fan, hate a particular boxer?
Is it
a. The boxer's attitude?
b. The boxer's fans?
c. Your own principles?
d. or the boxer's race?
I just don't get it why certain fans hate a certain boxer and even goes beyond arguing with other fans and resort to racism.

No true boxing fan hates any boxer. I think there is a ''Love to hate'' scenario out there...
I used to wait in anticipation for somebody to come along and shut Prince Haseem op - Not because I hated him (Far from it, I was always in awe of his utter belief in himself). But yet the smug way he made his entrance into the ring, would make me wish is opponent would put him on his *ss.
People claimed to dislike Larry Holmes, yet history is being kind to him, with all of his knockers at last admitting that he was an all time great.
Hagler was disliked, Eubank was disliked, Mayweather and Pac are disliked by various sections of the boxing public......
It's all opinion and banter. Even Harrison / Haye have the respect of most genuine boxers.
Racism doesn't even come into the equation - Anybody resorting to racism to make their point is beneath contempt, and their opinions mean nothing. Racism is just a by-product of being insecure, and lacking confidence and brains! - The language used by complete dead beats.

Its the entertainment part of the sport. Its like wrestling u have ur heroes and ur villens. The resorting to racism part is just people who strive on ignorance

As verbal as I am, I have never hated any boxer in the 50 years I have been looking at the sport. It is only their management or fans who get on my nerve (Gerry Cooney, Pacquiao, etc)
