Cabs are more like 30-32 one way. We do have busses.

NEW ORLEANS LOUIS ARMSTRONG INT'L AIRPORT (MSY)

Jefferson Transit (JeT) offers bus service to downtown New Orleans on route E-2,

Airport Route. Pick up the bus on the top level outside of Delta ticketing on the

    outside island.

    WEEKDAYS FROM 5:20am UNTIL 6:14pm

Buses run about every 40 minutes from 5:20am until 6:14pm weekdays. During

these times, the bus will take you into New Orleans and drop you off about two blocks

from the French Quarter. Downtown and French Quarter hotels are within walking

distance of the bus stop, but I suggest you have a map as this area can be

confusing. Fare is $2.00 to go into New Orleans.

WEEKDAYS AFTER 6:14pm and WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS

On weekdays, there is bus service from the airport at 7:12pm, 8:16pm and 9:20pm,

however the bus does not go into New Orleans. You will need to transfer to an RTA

bus. The fare at these times are $1.50. RTA bus 39 connects with the JeT bus at

the drop off point (Tulane and Carrollton) and will take you to the corner of Canal

Street at Elks Place, at the northwest corner of the French Quarter. Fare for the

RTA bus is $1.25, and transfers from the JeT cannot be used, as they are two

different bus companies. RTA also has a day pass for $3.00 that includes the

streetcars. More information about RTA at www.norta.com or call 225-357-3900.

Most hotels in the French Quarter, downtown and on Canal Street are in walking

distance of the bus stop. RTA bus 27 (transfer also available at Tulane and

Carrollton) goes into the Garden District down Louisiana Street.

On weekends, the JeT bus operates on Saturdays from 6:24am until 9:20pm every

30 to 60 minutes, and Sundays from 7:28am until 9:20pm every 65 minutes, but

stops at the Jefferson Parish line (Tulane and Carrollton) and does not go into New

Orleans. Follow the same instructions above for weekdays after 6:14pm.

More information at www.jeffersontransit.org or call 504-818-1077.
