Why are they Fighting?

I have never seen anything like this. These weird birds attacking each other with one that is a referee. Why would they do this and what are they?

    The two birds fighting would be males and the "referee" is probably the female

    who is slightly larger, she is watching to see who is the strongest/smartest

    so she will know who to mate with for the best chance of her young to survive.

    Don't know what they are but look like a ground fowl/bird in colouring.

    some birds fight for territory or a mate or food that may be one of the reasons for fighting but that's nature
