Can You Help Me Buy A Good, Cheap Video Card?

Ok, so I'm a 13 year old that wants to play games, but my computer can't handle some of them. I was looking online, and many are very expensive. Why did I include I'm 13? To let you know I don't have any money, or any job. I want to UPGRADE my video card for under 100 dollars, hopefully. My current video card is the RADEON 9800 XT AGP then it says (0x4E4A). It's memory is 256 mb. Can you find me something that will actually UPGRADE my video card, for 100 dollars. If you just find something in my price range, but also an upgrade. Please post the links to these products that you find. :) Thank you, much appreciated.

P.S. I also wanted to say, I'm using a desktop computer, a DELL. If that matters (it does matter right?) .

My processor is : Intel Pentium 4 CPY 3.20GHz

My Memory is : 2046 MB

My Card memory is : 256 mb

My OS is : Microsoft Windows XP Professional

My DirectX version is : DirectZ 9.0c

My monitor is : Dell 1901FP

And I don't know if it helps but my system model is Dimension XPS Gen 2

Also, the game I want to play is a major memory hog, so that should be noted. My drivers are up to date, so the problem isn't that. The game, was playable until an update, then it had a horrible frame rate, then just stopped working altogether, and I know they changed the graphics system thingy in the update. The game btw, is Minecraft. Pretty pathetic not being able to play MC huh?

Thanks for the news. Can you at least point me in the way of a good comp, that can handle memory hogging, good graphics, good HD, etc. And I would love a Mac, but don't recommend it cause it's too expensive. Ty. And make it in a good price range. Around 500 tops.

    To put it bluntly, what you're asking is impossible.

    Every video card made in the last 5 years uses the PCI-Express bus. Your motherboard has an AGP slot. These are not compatible with each other. Any video card worth buying that is better than your current one will not fit into your motherboard.

    To upgrade your video card, you would have to upgrade your motherboard, your CPU, your RAM and probably your power supply as well.

    By the time you do that, you might as well get a new PC.

    EDIT: Minecraft is not a very demanding game. If you say that it was running ok before and not now then some software change has caused the crappy performance. There are many things you can do to improve this. Firstly, you should try updating video card drivers. Scan for viruses and malware. Defrag the hard drive. Clean the registry. Use MSCONFIG to turn off unnecessary services. Uninstall any programs you do not use.

    If all else fails, re-installing XP should see your computer back to as fast as it was the day you first turned it on.

    If your video card's an AGP, that means the motherboard (Central hub of the computer) probably doesn't have the necessarily slot for any decent graphics card. Sorry bro.

    without knowing what parts your computer have right now its hard to say what card will work, if you have enough power and if you will actelly be able to get a upgrade from a new card (some other part may be a bottleneck for it)

    as it sounds any used card like gtx 260/280 radeon HD 3870/4870 and so on would be good
