My glasses have plastic lenses, I don't know if that matters, but I just want to make sure something that would work on glass lenses wouldn't harm mine.

Quarter an ounce of acetone( nail polish remover) per cup of warm water

The easiest way is to use rubbing alcohol straight on a clean soft cloth. It's safe for all types of lenses, even lenses coated with anti reflective coating. Warm soapy water or windex will not help and acetone will crack polycarbonate lenses.

Nail polish remover straight from the bottle with a cotton ball. Wipe the lenses with a cotton ball soaked in it , then rinse them off under hot water after.
There is no need to dilute it with water, it won't damage the lenses.
Warm soapy water or windex won't remove hair spray.

On my polycarbonate lenses, I just took a chance on alcohol straight out of the bottle on a tissue. Used it first on a pair of old readers because I didn t want to take a chance on the new prescriptions. Immediately wiped them with a microfiber cloth and they look great.
